Partisan Mirella centenary: “I have seen horror, I celebrate freedom”

In Perugia, honorary citizenship and red roses were given to celebrate one of the last living women who fought against the Nazis. “The best day was liberation, the worst was when I saw a friend die under German attacks. I had three pseudonyms: Olga, Marika and Rossella. I fought for women’s rights. To the younger generation I say: take your future.”
