Because the 47 year old man was sitting in a chair. He had a folder in his lap that he seemed to be reading. There were many children sitting in front of him, listening to him attentively but also asking questions.

An Instagram post from Bär and his ministry reads: “Children listen with great interest in the BMFTR library: Federal Research Minister Doro Bär reads to them and talks to them – as part of the Berlin Fairy Tale Days. The minister likes to do that because according to him: We should read more to the youngest children. This arouses the curiosity of future researchers!”
