There was even a person over ninety years old who was not afraid to go on stage. A symbol that the joy of life knows no age and it is never too late to follow your passions. The super grandfather is one of the contestants of The Voice Senior, Raiuno’s talent show which starts again on Friday and seeks the most beautiful voices among those over sixty years old.
This is paired with The Voice Kids which will air later. The host, as always, was Antonella Clerici (pictured) who, between the kitchen, grandparents and children, kept up the fun telling stories, through guests and competitors, of parts of the country. “I like doing this program – he explains – because it combines many genres, from people shows to talent shows: showing the people behind the voices, conveying emotions and even genuine feelings. And the viewers at home feel it”.
New in this edition are two new coaches: Nek, who has given an outstanding performance in television hosting on the Rai program (“This competitor – he said – transmitted enthusiasm and determination to us”) and Rocco Hunt. The rapper from Campania will partner (also as the only swivel chair) with Clementino. “We hired Rocco – Clerici joked but not too much – to try to prevent Clementino, who couldn’t keep his cool”. Both will have to formulate a unique assessment, and if they disagree, the “senior” will win: “I was lucky – says Rocco – because in my first experience I had a music teacher next to me and also an expert on The Voice, considering that he had completed eleven editions”.
Very confirmed, along with the three, are the coaches and judges Loredana Bertè and Arisa. The formula is always the same: six episodes, starting with a “Blind Audition” where the judges from behind listen to the contestants without being able to see them.
Only their voice should win their hearts: in this case, the coach will be able to turn around to win over the competitors in the team. The 24 participants selected during the “Blind” will advance to the semifinals and only 3 competitors per team will access the final where the public, through televoting, will decide who will win.
