Construction work by Deutsche Bahn between Dresden and Prague will cause several days of disruption on the route this year. That’s the time.

Trains only started running normally again last Saturday, and now further construction work on the line will follow. Starting this Thursday, the regular train connection from Dresden to Prague will only be operating on a limited basis due to construction work. According to information from Deutsche Bahn, the work will be completed on December 10.

From November 13, 08:50 until the following Sunday, November 16, 18:50, the route will be affected by partial cancellations. Direct connections from Berlin to Prague will be completely eliminated during this period. Further north, Hamburg Central Station will not stop due to general renovations on the Hamburg – Berlin route.

From Berlin to Dresden via Decin in the Czech Republic to Prague on line EC 27, replacement trains run on those days with new train numbers. The usual intermediate stops should continue to be served. But in Bad Schandau, long-distance trains do not stop during construction work.

Deutsche Bahn also announced that there will be a replacement bus service from Dresden to the Czech city of Usti nad Ladem. There will be connections to EC trains to and from Berlin and the Czech Republic.

The final construction work of the year between Dresden and Prague is scheduled to take place from December 2 at 10 p.m. until December 10 at 2 p.m. The same restrictions will apply as in November. The first construction work on the route took place from 26 October to 8 November.
