“The League provides a package of complementary and additional regulations for the government and the parliamentary majority, to further strengthen the extraordinary actions of the executive in the issue of combating irregular immigration and defending the safety of cities and communities. Rules to protect agents, stop pickpockets, speedy cleaning not only for the first house but for all houses, procedural protections for the police after legal protections, increased penalties to combat theft in our cities: it is therefore an integrated, serious and well-constructed package that we provide to the government and society. The parliamentary majority to respond to the legitimate expectations and demands for security from citizens country”. That was the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Nicola Molteni, at a press conference in the Council where the League illustrated a new package of measures on security, justice and immigration. Among those who spoke were the leaders of the Chamber and Senate groups, Riccardo Molinari and Massimiliano Romeo, Justice deputy minister Andrea Ostellari and Northern League lawmakers Susanna Ceccardi, Anna Maria Cisint and Silvia Sardone, deputy secretary of the Northern League. In a press conference, Romeo announced that the League would propose an amendment to “neuter” the increase in the retirement age for law enforcement officers. Among the proposals of this new package, the termination of automatic registration in the list of suspects in the presence of alleged justification and the introduction of responsibility for promoters of public events, through financial guarantees. Still in the context of public order, the League requested modifications to the art. 18 TULPS (Consolidated Law on Public Security Laws) relates to notification, prohibition and requirements for public demonstrations, with decriminalization and consequent increase in financial sanctions in case of violation of the prohibition on demonstrations, the obligation to provide notification and requirements implemented by the National Police Headquarters.
Furthermore, for those making transactions, it is estimated that vehicles (vehicles, motorbikes, scooters…) will be confiscated. Rapid eviction of all illegally occupied properties was then envisaged, as well as the creation of an autonomous crime of “dangerous escape” for those who did not stop at police stations or violated checkpoints. Regarding family reunification for immigrants, the League instead proposed to reduce the number of those who benefit from it and expand the income limit designated for reunification, no longer linking it to social benefits but to income for accessing free legal aid. Another objective is to strengthen the rules that have been introduced by the Caivano Decree and thus limit the phenomenon of juvenile deviance by increasing the crimes for which minors aged 12-14 are warned (vandalism, beatings, injuries…). The police commissioner will be able to summon such minors, along with their parents, who may also be subject to sanctions for facts that are less serious than the provisions of the current regulations. Another suggestion is that all thefts (especially those carried out with skill) and carried out wherever they are, must again be ex officio. “This – adds Molteni – is a government that in the fight against irregular immigration, thanks to the extraordinary work of Minister Piantedosi, has done a lot to guarantee greater security for citizens and police forces: we can further raise standards, the League, which is sensitive to security issues, offers proposals, ideas, solutions, suggestions and suggestions for a sharper response”. Decree or bill? “Today we present a package of regulations, after which we will evaluate which will be the most appropriate regulatory vehicle so that the League’s regulations, suggestions, suggestions, ideas and solutions can ‘find their place’. But I am very sure, we have already discussed this with Minister Piantedosi, that there will be space, sharing, because for this government the safety of Italian citizens is and remains a priority on the agenda”.

This morning we presented an observatory on the phenomenon of Islamization in our country and on our continent, which will involve 20 mayors from all over Italy, plus members of the government, members of parliament, the European Parliament, to gather report, but also to make concrete proposals, which no one can convey better than a mayor who knows his area”. “Until there is an agreement with the State, we will not give an inch to the Islamic community” warned Sardone.
