Local public transport attended the papal audience today to convey greetings to His Holiness throughout the sector and receive blessings for all workers. Representatives of workers from the TPL company and entrepreneurs gathered in St. Peter’s Square on the day dedicated to the Autoferrotranvieri Jubilee. The sector’s participation in the traditional papal appointment on Wednesday during the Jubilee of Hope 2025 was eagerly sought by the employers’ associations: Agens, Anav, Asstra, and by the trade union organizations: Filt Cgil, Filt Cisl, UilTrasporti, Faisa Cisal, Ugl-Fna, which represent a sector employing around 120 thousand people.

During the papal audience, a medallion with the statue of Saint Christopher, patron of travelers, was presented to His Holiness as a testimony to the daily commitment of the company and its employees in serving the community and citizens. The prize was presented by a driver from Atac, the mobility company of the Municipality of Rome. The hearing was a moment of unity with high symbolic value and recognition of a sector whose activities have great social significance, cohesion and solidarity.
