Lorenza G.’s last conversation with the operator of the teleassistance service of the Generalitat Valenciana who assisted her during the worst misfortune of the century – the disaster that caused 229 deaths in Valencia on 29 October 2024 – reveals a cocktail of fear and helplessness. The transcription of audio like that of Lorenza was incorporated into the summary of the judge of Catarroja (Valencia) investigating the flood, Nuria Ruiz Tobarra. The magistrate has opened a line of investigation that investigates how the 37 users of the teleassistance service of the Generalitat and the Provincial Council of Valencia died during the storm.

The information is provided to the case following uat the request of the public prosecutor’s office exercised in the case by the Acció Cultural del País Valencià association (ACPV) and after this newspaper reported that dana caused the death of 37 people linked to the teleassistance of the Generalitat.
