Good news: Sat.1 will broadcast the qualifying match between Germany and Malta live on free TV. The broadcast starts at 17:30. Alternatively, you can also follow the match via a free live stream on Joyn.
After three matchdays, Germany is in second place in Group F with six points, behind Greece (nine points) and ahead of Georgia (five). At first, the European runners-up celebrated a 5-0 win against Latvia, then unfortunately lost 2-3 against Greece and got back on track with a 2-1 win in Northern Ireland. Only a win against Malta would matter – otherwise it would be a disappointment. The underdog has lost all three of its matches so far without scoring a single goal.
Coach Antonio Di Salvo (46) stressed: “The first match has shown how balanced our qualifying group is and how important every match is.” And: “We will of course not underestimate any opponent. In Fürth we want to bring the joy of playing to the pitch with passion and determination and look forward to the support of the German fans.”
