MILAN (ITALPRESS) – This Christmas the Bosch Group in Italy launched “Play-Able – For a new level of accessibility”, a social responsibility initiative created in collaboration with the ASPHI Onlus Foundation, which has been promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities through the use of digital technologies for more than forty years. Consoles have been one of the most desired gifts for young people during the Christmas holidays for many years. With Play-Able, Bosch aims to make this desire accessible even to those who, due to physical or cognitive barriers, are often excluded from it. In fact, this project involves donating personalized play areas for children with disabilities. These stations, designed and adapted by the ASPHI Onlus Foundation, combine different types of technology and assistance to allow you to play with greater autonomy, develop digital skills and stay connected, beyond barriers.
This assistance, which is accompanied by training courses for families, is not only a means of entertainment, but also learning, communication and participation, useful at school and in everyday life. Video games and digital technology, often considered pure entertainment, are an invitation to discover new possibilities, have fun, share interests and open ourselves to new relationships.
“Digital accessibility represents one of the most pressing challenges in our society. Technology, in fact, should be a bridge, not a barrier. With Play-Able we want to show that technology is not just a technical innovation, but also a means to promote inclusion and sociality. This is the deep meaning of our company award ‘Technology for life: offering real opportunities that overcome barriers, create new connections and improve people’s quality of life, in every context”, said Renato Lastaria, General Manager of Bosch Group in Italy.
“Projects like Play-Able highlight the importance of building networks between organizations, companies and communities, to promote a culture accessible to everyone, where everyone can fully express their potential. In this case, the collaboration between Fondazione ASPHI Onlus and Bosch becomes a vehicle for social participation, where innovation is placed at the service of society, generating new opportunities”, comments Andrea Pontremoli, President of Fondazione ASPHI Onlus.
As proof of a commitment involving the entire corporate community, the stations will be received by young people living in the vicinity of Bosch’s offices in Italy, who will have the opportunity to receive not only Christmas gifts, but also useful tools for their daily lives.
In addition to donations to support non-profit organizations, Bosch Italia also launched a communication campaign on the company’s social and internal channels, with the aim of raising public awareness about digital inclusion. The partner and ambassador of this initiative is Favij, pseudonym of Lorenzo Ostuni, one of the most followed and loved creators in Italy. Youtuber, online gaming pioneer and symbol of a generation raised with digital culture, Favij pours his voice and experience into the Play-Able service, to convey the value of inclusion through the universal language of video games. The culmination of the project was December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, with the launch of a video dedicated to Play-Able, a story about emotions, dreams and new possibilities opened up by accessible games.
“Through collaboration with the ASPHI Onlus Foundation and the involvement of our corporate community, we want to contribute to building a future where everyone can feel like an active part of society. Play-Able reflects the way we understand games as a tool capable of creating authentic connections and spreading positive values. Our communication campaign video aims to be an invitation to look at technology in a new light, the key to unlocking one’s abilities”, concludes Giuditta Piedilato, Director of Communications and Public Relations at Bosch Italy.
Bosch, which is part of the Public Interest Foundation, always aims to improve the lives of current and future generations, promote a just and inclusive society and act responsibly and sustainably through the initiatives it chooses to support. With Play-Able, the company affirms its commitment to combining technological innovation and social responsibility, demonstrating that technology is, first and foremost, a tool for freedom, connection and growth. For many, the potential is clear, but for others, this could be a real breakthrough. For Bosch, every circuit, every pixel and every digital pulse represents a bridge to a more accessible and humane future. Because technology not only has to make life easier, but also has to be accessible to everyone.
