Rome, November 13 (Adnkronos Health) – Prevention, lifestyle and sustainability: there are 3 pillars of Driving Change Arena, an event dedicated to health organized today by Novo Nordisk as part of the 42nd Anci Annual Assembly, which took place in Bologna. This moment of dynamic and participatory dialogue – reported by the pharmaceutical company in a note – brought together representatives of institutions, mayors, local administrators and experts to share experiences and good practices in improving health and well-being in urban communities, and to explore the real contribution of cities in the development of effective prevention models, in the spread of healthy lifestyles and in the promotion of environmental and social sustainability.
This discussion is structured around the 3 distinctive pillars of the Novo Nordisk Cities for Better Health international program, implemented in Italy thanks to a partnership with Anci and the Health City Institute, namely prevention, lifestyle and sustainability. In addition to highlighting the shared commitment of administrators, institutions and the third sector in promoting good initiatives already active in various regions of the country, the meeting also highlighted the importance of a shared vision of health, based on prevention and collaboration between public and private institutions to improve the quality of life of citizens.
“The challenge of chronic diseases requires joint solutions and an integrated approach to health, in a broad vision in which prevention and innovation take a central role – said Alfredo Galletti, General Manager of Novo Nordisk Italy – Faced with this new perspective, the entire system, all of us, is called to respond with adequate solutions that recognize the new scenario and are best equipped to manage it effectively, in the interests of patients and society and that support the best conditions for the strategic nature of our country. For this reason we believe in a synergy and multi-sectoral approach, based on collaboration and dialogue of all the actors involved – local administrators, health authorities, institutions and private individuals – it is fundamental to concretely implement a concrete and valuable path in this regard, in the interests of patients and society And it is from this perspective that I can only conclude by reaffirming Novo Nordisk’s commitment to working with Anci and the mayors to continue improving the region and promoting health and prevention”.
