“I will kill you”: Michael Duarte, a culinary influencer with two million subscribers, was shot dead by police in Texas

Food influencer Michael Duarte, better known as @FoodWithBearHands, died on November 8 after being shot and killed by police in Texas. The 36-year-old man died just three days after his wedding anniversary while visiting family in Texas.

Law enforcement responded to an emergency call Saturday regarding a man “armed with a knife and acting erratically.” Once the police officers were there, Michael Duarte allegedly approached one of the officers in a threatening manner.

“After receiving several verbal commands from the officer to get on the ground, Duarte rushed towards him while shouting: I will kill you “, a representative from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ. Police officers then fired two shots at the man who was carrying his service weapon.

Paramedics at the scene attempted to resuscitate him and took him to University Hospital in San Antonio, where he was pronounced dead.
