Autumn finally shows its most authentic face. According to weather forecast from the colonel Mario Giuliacci and the trend is that the next fifteen days will be dominated by severe weather, with widespread rainfall, snowfall in the Alps at low altitudes, and a sharp drop in temperatures. Giuliacci, in a video on the YouTube channel MeteoGiuliaccidivides the trend into four main phases. Here he is.

First stage (November 13-14) – Final days of high pressure with the African anticyclone still the protagonist. The weather will remain steady and sunny, with above average but pleasant temperatures.

Second Stage (15-19 November) – An Atlantic cyclone will approach the Iberian Peninsula, generating a secondary disturbance in Corsica that will bring widespread rainfall over most of Italy, more heavily in Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Tyrrhenian region. First light snowfall in the central-western Alps at altitudes above 2,000 meters.

Six degrees above average. Summer in San Martino is here again: unseasonable sun and heat

Third stage (November 20-24) – The depressive vortex, moving from Morocco towards Italy, will worsen the situation with abundant rainfall, especially in the Northeast, Liguria, Levant and Campania. In this phase, snowfall of up to 1000 meters is expected and the amount is above the seasonal average.

Fourth phase (November 25-27) – Good weather will return thanks to the Azores anticyclone, with a short break and a rise in temperatures.

On the thermal front, Giuliacci reported a sharp decline between November 17 and 23, with drops of up to 5-7 degrees in the North-Central region. In the South, after a temporary rise between the 15th and 18th, temperatures will drop by 3-4 degrees between November 20th and 24th. “An extraordinary autumn – Giuliacci concluded – with ten days out of fifteen of rain, heavy snow in the Alps and Italy that will finally revive the seasonal climate.”
