Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama at Villa Doria Pamphilj, where the first Italian-Albanian intergovernmental summit was held. The two heads of government embraced each other, before visiting the honorary Granatieri unit in Sardegna. Then, embracing, Meloni and Rama entered the Casino del Bel Respiro, where the day would open with a bilateral conversation between the two leaders. This was followed by an intergovernmental agreement signing ceremony and a plenary session as well as a luncheon attended by the ministers Antonio Tajani (Minister of Foreign Affairs), Matteo Piantedosi (Interior), Carlo Nordio (Justice), Guido Crosetto (Defence), Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (Environment), Alessandro Giuli (Culture), Orazio Schillaci (Health), Nello Musumeci (South), and deputy minister Federico Freni (Economics) and Tullio Ferrante (Infrastructure).
The agreement exchange ceremony is scheduled for around 14.00, where in addition to the ministers, the leaders of the companies involved (Cdp, Simest, Sace, Leonardo) and Civil Protection will be present. Finally, Meloni and Rama will make a joint statement to the press.
