In Bologna, on the occasion of the Cresco Award 2025 – Sustainable Cities and Agenda 2030 award ceremony, the Municipality of Vimodrone (Milan) was awarded the category of Municipalities with more than 10 thousand inhabitants thanks to the Luoghi Comuni project, an initiative dedicated to young people and their protagonists in urban life. “Luoghi Comuni is a concept of openness and connection – explains Marco Albertini, deputy mayor of Vimodrone – a project that offers young people spaces and moments of meeting, where they can express themselves freely and build the future of the city together”.
This program, he continued, was born from the government’s desire to invest in the new generation as a strategic resource for society: “Focusing on the young generation means investing in the future. We have created an open place, with educators and participatory channels, to listen to their needs and ideas.”
The project aims to strengthen social cohesion and make sustainable not only the environment but also people, education and communities, in line with the principles of the 2030 Agenda.
