Emotions can provoke tears like thunderous applause. The proof is, this Thursday at 19.00, in the Paris Memorial Garden, near City Hall, during a ceremony to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 132 people. A magical moment, almost out of time to salute the performance of Choeur du 13, a choir of about forty survivors, accompanied by Jesse Hugues, American singer of Eagles Of Death Metal, on stage at the Bataclan a decade ago to the day.
Together, they sang the British hit song, “You’ll never walk alone”. A “song for the living” sung by the audience which half an hour later will return to a serious atmosphere during a minute of silence.
