Weather: Rain and clouds – Northern Germany remains cool in winter

Northern Germany experienced a mostly wet and cool weekend. As announced by the German Weather Service (DWD), today will be mostly cloudy and rainy throughout northern Germany, with only a slight break in some places. Temperatures are between 8 and 11 degrees in the south Lower Saxony also higher. Rain remains mostly overnight, some brighter towards the north at 7 to 4 degrees.

On Saturday the rain will decrease to the south in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, while in the north it will become drier and friendlier. In contrast, Lower Saxony was still covered in heavy rain, which then subsided. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania shows a mixed picture with loose coasts and drizzle inland. The maximum value is generally around 7 degrees. At night, it will be mostly cloudy, locally sunny with lows at times just above freezing.

Sunday will again be mostly cloudy in all three states and a little rain in some areas. Relaxation is only possible in the north of Lower Saxony and on parts of the Baltic Sea coast in the afternoon. The temperature reached around 7 degrees. In the evening temperatures will cool back down to 5 to 1 degree, with a chance of light frost in some places.
