The promotion of public mobility and road safety education is the aim of the new ATM project ‘Sicuramente’, an educational game aimed at girls and boys as well as the new generation to promote road rules and conscious use of public transport. This initiative was born from a collaboration with the associations Lorenzo Guarnieri, Giunti Editore and Giunti Scuola with the aim of educating the public to recognize urban space as a shared environment, governed by rules and respectful behavior.
With the ‘Sicuramente’ project, Atm becomes an ambassador of safe mobility education for future ‘adults’ and protagonists of Milan, continuing its public role as a company active in promoting the values of social responsibility. The commitment that ATM has carried out over the years is also through developing initiatives and awareness campaigns to spread an increasingly inclusive culture. A total of 300 ‘Sicuramente’ packages have been distributed to elementary schools in the Milan area and another 200 will be sent in the next few days. The package contains a book and an illustrated city map depicting all the ATM vehicles that share the road with pedestrians, car drivers, cyclists and more, and where girls and boys can learn to experience Milan safely and move responsibly.
“What made Milan move?” it is precisely the title of the book that explains, through simple and entertaining stories, how public transport is the best option for getting around the city: trams, buses, trolleys, the underground network and bike sharing with BikeMi bikes, in fact, contribute to the continued growth of Milan’s mobility. Environmental sustainability and vehicle renewal are among the investment pillars of ATM which, through the ‘Full Electric’ Plan, provides for the conversion of the entire fleet of 1,200 buses to electric, with the achievement of 50% e-buses by next year. All primary schools in Milan and the metropolis can join the project by registering at the link: www.giuntiscuola.it/sicuremente-gioco-per-vivere-insieme-la-strada-atm
