“For the first time in COP history, a document addresses climate disinformation” – Libération

Climate disinformation has officially been invited to the negotiating table at the UN climate summit, and this is unprecedented. In Belém, Brazil, where COP30 has been taking place since Monday 10 November, COP30 has been widely criticized, debated, and even accused of obstructing compliance with the goals of the Paris agreement. On Wednesday, November 12, the Declaration on the Integrity of Climate Change Information was launched, and since then, delegates have been meeting in the negotiating room to examine the possibility of part or all of this text becoming a piece that will be adopted unanimously, in plenary, at the end of the fortnight. Never seen before.
