Iñaki Gabilondo, Manuela Carmena, Pedro Almodóvar, Miquel Roca, Elvira Lindo, José Sacristán, Lola Herrera and Cristina Almeida reconstruct the exact moment in which they learned the news of Franco’s death. How did they celebrate it? Were you aware of the changes that were coming? Were they afraid? What did they do the next few days? ‘This is how I experienced Franco’s death’ recovers images from Spain in 1975, the medical reports preserved by the Cadena SER archive which report the leader’s agony and the testimony of Antonio Piga, one of the four forensic experts who embalmed the dictator’s body to be exhibited.
