Donald Trump broke up with MAGA figure Marjorie Taylor Greene over Epstein’s affair

After several weeks of tension, the divorce was finalized. Donald Trump publicly broke up on Friday, November 14, with longtime ally and radical right-wing figure, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who publicly criticized him for his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein affair, a political-judicial scandal that embarrassed the White House.

“I withdraw my support for elected official Marjorie Taylor Greene”he wrote on his network, Truth Social, adding: “Crazy Maggie just complains, complains, complains” about Georgia’s representation in the United States Congress.

In his message on Truth Social, Donald Trump said he was ready to support the right-wing candidate who would challenge Marjorie Taylor Greene in the primaries for the midterm elections that will be held in 2026 and in which all seats in the House of Representatives, including the elected representative from Georgia, will be up for grabs.

This is the first significant breakthrough in the Make America Great Again (MAGA) camp since the start of Donald Trump’s second term, which so far, unlike the first term, has been characterized by very strong discipline around the American president.

Marjorie Taylor Greene openly criticized the president’s economic policies and accused him of not focusing enough on purchasing power issues. He specifically condemned his handling of the highly sensitive Jeffrey Epstein affair, days before a vote in the House of Representatives aimed at forcing publication, by the Trump administration, of files relating to the sex offender who died in prison in August 2019.

“Make an example”

Donald Trump “forcefully attacked me to set an example and scare other Republicans before next week’s vote”Marjorie Taylor Greene’s reaction to X. She rated “It’s amazing how hard he fought” to prevent publication.

Epstein’s affair caused a stir in the MAGA camp, which monitored it very closely. The American press assures that many members of the Republican Party next week will cast their votes in favor of publishing documents from the Ministry of Justice.

Donald Trump, who frequently visited the former financier, had promised disclosure during his campaign but has done everything, since returning to the White House, to close the case. The American president once again assured on Friday that he would not “don’t know anything” for the actions of Jeffrey Epstein who committed suicide in prison before being tried for sexual exploitation. Statements that appear to be refuted by emails from Jeffrey Epstein published by American media this week.
