A hugely successful Netflix documentary shows a clearly marked arrest warrant. Now the rapper returns to appear for the first time. He used his brief appearance to make an anti-drug statement.

At his first concert since the release of the successful Netflix documentary about his life, the German rapper’s arrest warrant assured that he is far from drugs. “You’ve probably all seen my documentary. I just wanted to let you know, I’m clean,” the musician shouted to his fans from the stage – to loud cheers. “And I hope he stays like that too. To hell with drugs!”

“Babo – The Story of an Arrest Warrant” about Aykut Anhan, as the original name of the arrest warrant is, was a huge success for the Netflix streaming service. The much-talked-about documentary earned millions of views just days after its release in late October and ranked number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The documentary discusses that the musician consumed cocaine for years. In many shots, he seems genuinely interested.

The hall at the Alando Palais in Osnabrück was filled to capacity that evening and the atmosphere was relaxed. During the concert that started after midnight and lasted only half an hour, the arrest warrant was shaking hands in front of the stage. He also performed hits such as “069” and “Chabos Know Who’s Babo”.

The rapper looked much slimmer than the final image in the documentary showed him. He covered the lower part of his face during the performance. In the documentary, his nose was allegedly broken due to cocaine consumption. An arrest warrant ended the club’s concert without an encore.
