Sweden: There may have been no intent in the fatal bus crash in Stockholm

Police went to the center after a fatal bus accident Stockholm do not assume that the alleged perpetrator acted intentionally. There is currently no evidence that the crash was caused deliberately, police in the Swedish capital said.

Authorities said in the morning that they were still investigating negligent homicide and negligent bodily injury, and the arrested bus driver was being treated in hospital. Identification of the three fatalities is still ongoing.

The bus was not operating at the time of the accident

A double-decker bus crashed into a bus stop near the KTH Royal Institute of Technology north of the Swedish capital on Friday afternoon. Three people died and three others were hospitalized with injuries. The bus was not operating at the time of the accident, so there were no passengers on board.

How the serious accident occurred remains unclear. The incident occurred on a busy road, near a subway station and a train stop connected to Stockholm’s northern suburbs. Many Swedes were on their way to the weekend at that time.
