The unrestricted war ahead of regional elections in Campania has divided the parties center-leftand as evidence of the tension between the parties vying for the governor’s seat, there was an episode circulating on the web in the last few hours, giving rise to a wave of controversy.
As clearly demonstrated through the photographic contribution of the “Campania Popolare” list, in fact, Green Left Alliance (Avs) fixed a photo so that its flag also appeared in the middle of demonstrations in 2018, especially the year when the party had not yet been founded. Of course, the image processed with artificial intelligence to give a good impression in the election campaign went viral, especially triggering complaints from those who had attended the event which took place 4 years before July 2 2022, when AVS was officially founded.
“Does this seem normal to you? The Avs are using AI to wave their flags in front of non-existent rallies!”report on the Campania Popolare Facebook page. “Look at this photo before and after retouching: what do you notice? Yes, Avs added with thatartificial intelligence its flag in a regional election advertisement in Campania tells the story of those who were at the forefront of the “Stop Biocide” demonstrations during the elections. This is absolutely ridiculous…”we read again in the post.
“Moreover, this procession took place in 2018, 4 years before the founding of Avs”said the political group Capana, “and this movement was organized by a movement that never wanted to be affiliated with parties and was always proud of its independence”. To make this story even more ridiculous, the author of the post underlined, the fact that the demonstration was against him Vincenzo De Lucathen supported by the center-left,“De Luca of incinerators and ecoballs!”.
“When they say ‘put a flag’ to someone else’s cause… the Avs mean it literally!”a message that ironically leads to a conclusion, insinuating doubts among centre-left voters about the goodness of AVS’s intentions if its candidate Roberto Fico wins the regional elections.
“If a party doesn’t mind committing fraud like this during an election campaign, what can you expect from the party afterwards? If the party exploits movements like this, how do you think the party will treat them? If the party aligns with parties that say they are fighting, how do you think the party can keep its promises?”the closing post asks polemically.”
