Empty bag

On Wednesday morning, still in Roubaix, several criminals destroyed a funds transfer box at the city’s main post office with explosives, without causing injuries, before fleeing with a large bag.

The bag stolen from the trunk did not contain any money, but was just another empty bag, said a spokesman for the La Poste group in Hauts-de-France.

Six people were arrested overnight from Wednesday to Thursday as part of separate cases opened for “theft by an organized gang”, “criminal association with the intent to prepare a crime” and “destruction of property with explosives by an organized gang”, according to the Lille prosecutor’s office.
