Injuries stop Francesca Fialdini and Giovanni Pernice, forced to withdraw – at least for now – from Dancing with the Stars. The host did not appear on the November 16 episode and explained that he had to temporarily withdraw from the competition because “we had no other choice”.
“This trip was a surprise… but bad luck really hit us both,” Fialdini began. “I have three cracked ribs and the fracture was dislocated. We had no choice but to stop. “We’ll wait until a bone callus forms, the doctor doesn’t recommend anything else,” added Fialdini, which made the public despair.
The retreat has been postponed for now: “I will try to recover”, added Fialdini and Carolyn Smith suggested recovery in time for the repechage. The competitor, one of the most appreciated by the judges, also had to face problems with his right leg for several weeks: “The situation with my leg is improving, I can put it on the ground but dancing is another thing”. Retirement – at least temporarily – is inevitable: “I will not dance on a chair, on a bed, hanging on a curtain.”
