The number of acts of right-wing extremist violence also increased: 1,281 acts of violence were recorded during the period – six attempted murders and 1,121 physical injuries. Additionally, 24,177 propaganda crimes were linked to right-wing extremism. The previous year there were 15,081 cases. “Germany’s constitutional order is under attack almost every day,” said Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) when he presented his annual report in June.
However, according to a new study, the proportion of people representing right-wing extremist positions is decreasing. After peaking several years ago, the proportion of people who clearly share a right-wing extremist worldview has shrunk.
