Aida closes the deck of the yacht – the helicopter is coming

After an emergency on the yacht, the crew acted with caution: a little later, help came from the air.
Shocking moment on “Aida Nova” off the coast of Ameland: Suddenly the crew closed several decks and tourists had to leave the area as quickly as possible.
As consistently reported by the “Ship and Cruise Ships” and “Cruise News” portals, a tourist suddenly experienced a medical emergency during the cruise on Friday evening. Since treatment could no longer wait until the next port, a rescue helicopter was requested from the Netherlands.
Crews closed off some outside decks to make room. The luxury ship also reduced its speed. Rescue workers finally got the passenger onto the plane and took him to hospital.
It is still unclear what kind of emergency occurred in this case. Aida could not be reached via t-online on Saturday.
The cruise ship departs the tour from Hamburg on November 8. The itinerary includes stops in Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre and Southampton. A return to Hamburg is planned for Saturday.
“Aida Nova” is equipped with 15 swimming pools, 18 restaurants and 16 bars. A total of 2,626 guest cabins are available for tourists.
