For weeks, RN deputy Jean-Philippe Tanguy has accused the government of stalling in the budget debate. His belief: Sébastien Lecornu, in the end times, wants to pass the budget through regulations. An accusation shared among Insoumis ranks but immediately denied by the government.
Thursday, November 13 evening, when the debate continued, the same Jean-Philippe Tanguy surprised his people. “The debate has been very intense in the last few weeks,” he said, deeming it appropriate to stop sitting this weekend in order to preserve the debate and exhaustion of National Assembly deputies and staff. An opinion was delivered outside the RN benches that prompted the Minister responsible for Relations with Parliament Laurent Panifous to decide: the deputies will be able to return to their respective constituencies.
