“We will never see him again in a UFC fight”, general description of the fight with Dillon Danis before the Benoît Saint Denis fight

Tensions reached a fever pitch at Madison Square Garden in New York. Minutes before Benoît Saint Denis absolutely put out Beneil Dariush in about fifteen seconds yesterday at UFC 322, a violent public brawl broke out in the halls of an American arena.

Initially: an argument involving several fighters who came as spectators, including Dillon Danis and Islam Makhachev and their relatives. Famous as a fighter even outside the octagon, the first man who is also known as one of Conor McGregor’s iconic partners was quickly removed from the room.

“We will never see him in a UFC fight again,” Dana White said about him. “He said a lot of bad things about our team… He should also be banned from entering the country,” Makhachev later added.

The fight was significant enough to force security officers to immediately try to stop the debate, and still delayed Benoît Saint Denis’ fight by around ten minutes.

“I didn’t pay attention to what was happening in the room, I watched a little of the fight that preceded me, the level was spectacular, but I tried to stay focused on what was waiting for me,” said the Frenchman, whose fight with Beneil Dariush appeared to be shorter than this fight in the stands.

In 2018, Dillon Danis was involved in a violent, now iconic brawl that saw Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov clans clash in Las Vegas.
