‘war casualties affect each of us if we are human’ – Il Tempo

Berlin, November 16 (Adnkronos) – “Today it is a great honor for me to be here and take part in the German National Day of Mourning, to commemorate together the victims of conflict in the year in which we celebrate eighty years since the end of the Second World War. The deaths we remember here, the deaths in the world due to the violence of conflict are of concern to each of us, if we want to be considered human.” The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, underlined this in Berlin in his speech to the Bundestag on the occasion of the ‘National Day of Mourning’ ceremony, 80 years after the end of the Second World War.
