Jungle camp winner Lilly Becker takes on “Surviving Amazon”

Amazon – Eight celebrities set one goal for ten days: to experience life in the Brazilian Amazon up close. The participants are members of traditional communities that still live in harmony with nature today.

They submit completely to their rules and traditions in order to be accepted symbolically in village society.

Ten days in the Shanenawa tribe

Deep in the South American jungle, participants live for ten days strictly according to the rules of the Shanenawa, an indigenous community whose daily life is characterized by rituals, traditions and a reverent attitude towards nature. For Celebrity Meaning: simple living conditions, regular duties in the village.

The focus is not on the idea of competition but rather on the question of how each individual copes with unfamiliar environments and demands.

The main crux of this format is the question of who can integrate into society in a way that the Shanenawa consider appropriate. People who receive this recognition are honored with their original names under a “sacred tree” and are symbolically accepted into the village community for life.
