In the spring, after repeated bankruptcies, it was finally over for Gerry Weber. All shops and head office are closed. Now there’s a return.
A new collection has now been developed for the Gerry Weber brand, which will be sold exclusively online. The shop is online. Victrix collaborates with Globalist Beteiligungs GmbH from Stuttgart. Gerry W. Online DACH GmbH was newly established and acted as licensing partner.
Globalist founder Carlos Schönig is optimistic in “Handelsblatt”: “We are confident that our offering will meet customer expectations and that new beginnings will be successful.”
Gerry Weber was founded in 1973 as Hatex KG and was temporarily active in more than 60 countries. However, the company experienced a crisis in 2019 and filed for bankruptcy for the first time that same year, and British investors took over. After two further bankruptcies in 2023 and 2025, the end of the bankruptcies was announced in May. The remaining 40 of the original 170 branches were closed and the head office in Halle was abandoned.
