Supreme Council, Closeness and Gratitude for Military Commitment Abroad – Il Tempo

Rome, 17 November (Adnkronos) – The Supreme Defense Council, which met for more than three hours in the Quirinale under the chairmanship of the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, at the end of its work, expressed “a feeling of deep closeness and gratitude to all the soldiers involved in the various operations in Italy and abroad and, in particular, to the Italian soldiers involved in the Unifil mission in southern Lebanon and on the eastern flank of the Atlantic Alliance, especially in critical areas, for their exemplary professionalism shown in carrying out their duties”.

The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, took part in the meeting; foreign ministers, Antonio Tajani; Defense, Guido Crosetto; from Home Affairs, Matteo Piantedosi; Economics, Giancarlo Giorgetti; Economic Development, Adolfo Urso; Chief of Defense Staff, Luciano Portolano; Supreme Defense Council affairs advisor, Francesco Saverio Garofani; the Prime Minister’s deputy minister, Alfredo Mantovano; Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ugo Zampetti.
