Germany takes part in the World Cup in America. Fans who want to become fans also need a visa in addition to tickets. US President Trump promised to speed up the procurement process.

Fans who have tickets to next summer’s World Cup will be given priority when it comes to obtaining US visas. US President Donald Trump announced the so-called “Fifa Pass” after a meeting of the 2026 World Cup task force at the White House. Authorities have been working to “ensure that soccer fans from around the world are properly screened and can easily enter the United States next summer,” he told the press. “If you have tickets for the World Cup, you can get a priority appointment to get your visa,” added FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said: “Our advice is: If you have tickets for any of the games, apply for a date as soon as possible and don’t wait until the last minute. They are not a visa, they do not guarantee entry into the US. But they guarantee you a quicker appointment.” The verification process is the same as usual. “The difference is that you move further up the queue.”

Next summer, the United States along with Mexico and Canada will host the largest World Cup in history with 48 participating countries. The drawing will take place in Washington on December 5. Then the German national team, which has been confirmed to qualify for the tournament since beating Slovakia 6-0, also knows what opponents they will face in the group phase.

Trump emphasized the huge economic benefits of the World Cup and promised the best edition in history. “This is like many Super Bowls. Many games are almost like Super Bowls. It could even be said that some of them are bigger than the Super Bowl,” said the US President. Infantino estimates five to ten million people will travel to the US to watch the match. According to the world football association, more than one million tickets have been purchased by fans from 212 countries so far.

Trump again threatens Seattle and LA with withdrawal of World Cup matches

The president again threatened to pull their games from the host city if it wasn’t safe – and mentioned Seattle and Los Angeles in this context. Trump did not respond specifically to the question of when the move to another city should take place at the latest. The Republican has claimed for months that crime in some American cities is out of control and can only be controlled with his help. Crime statistics do not support this claim.
