Kassel (Hesse) – Serious accident on the A44 between Warburg and Breuna: A lorry left the road, hit a secured damaged car – and then fell ten meters down an embankment. Four people were injured, one of them seriously.
On Monday evening, three men (38, 54, 59) broke down in their car. The three secured the vehicle properly on the hard shoulder of the road, as announced by the North Hesse police. Suddenly, for reasons that remain unclear, a 38-year-old truck driver swerved out of the right lane – and crashed into a stopped car.

The truck hit the damaged vehicle and then fell about ten meters down an embankment. The truck driver (38) suffered minor injuries Injury to. Two of the three passengers still in the car also suffered minor injuries.
A third person suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Rescue workers took him to a clinic. Police estimate total damage at around 180,000 euros.
