Friuli’s bad weather, body of missing woman found in Cormons – Il Tempo

Cormons, 18 November (askanews) – The body of a woman who disappeared due to the collapse of her house in Cormons (GO), due to a landslide, was found at 23.00 yesterday by the USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) team. The work of the firefighting team continues to make the locations affected by the collapse safe.

In the hamlet of Versa, Romans d’Isonzo (GO) area, the work of firefighters to evacuate residents trapped in their homes on the water’s edge ended last night. Pumping operations in the flooded area have been ongoing since this morning.

The intervention of firefighters in the regions of Udine, Palmanova, Trivignano and Manzano, which were affected by yesterday’s bad weather, is in the final stages.

More than 200 firefighters are currently operating in the two provinces of Friuli Venezia Giulia, including reinforced personnel from the Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia Romagna regions.
