Budget: skills assessments will always be funded by the CPF

Training organizations and future candidates for skills assessments may be in for a surprise. They can still mobilize money from their personal training account (CPF). The final inclusion of CPF skills assessment eligibility in the 2026 Finance Bill was removed on November 9 in committee. Planned restrictive measures were also ruled out. “This is a major collective step forward for the recognition and sustainability of our system, which serves professional careers,” commented the Federation. Française des Professionals de l’Accompagnement et du Bilan de Compétences (FFPABC) in an email sent to its members, but remained vigilant until the budget vote.

This provision compared to the second most requested CPF training, is “a deviation taken in accounting logic, without looking into the details”, underlines Ariane Frehel, national training director at Cnam (National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts) which provides around 400 skills assessments per year.
