Ten people were arrested and detained by police, weapons and drugs confiscated, reported Tuesday 18 November ICI Lorraine (ex-France Bleu), following the bust of a drug trade in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle). This RAID-supported operation is the result of investigative work that lasted five months. The investigation was carried out by the Territorial Crime Division’s Narcotics Task Force and a total of 95 police officers were deployed.

Searches carried out by investigators resulted in the discovery of almost 30 kilograms of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, the total value of which was estimated at 500,000 euros. More than 41,000 euros in cash was also seized as well as a 9 mm pistol, a submachine gun and a shotgun.

The ten arrests occurred in various districts of the city of Nancy. Among the ten suspects arrested, two brothers aged 22 and 24 are suspected of being the leaders of this trade, according to public prosecutor Nancy François Capin-Dulhoste, who detailed that this drug trade can generate up to 8,000 euros per day. In these types of cases, suspects can be held for up to 96 hours, prosecutors said.
