A night of intense bombing. Russian drone strikes targeted Ukraine’s Kharkiv region for the third night in a row, leaving dozens of people injured in the capital, local police reported on Wednesday, November 19.
Regional police reported a “massive attack” drones against Slobidsky and Osnovyansky districts of Kharkiv. It’s very broken “more than ten apartment buildings”, according to a message published on Telegram. Police identify “36 people were injured, including children.”
On Wednesday morning, all of Ukraine was on air alert. Authorities in several cities in western Ukraine have asked citizens to be careful. “The enemy is attacking western Ukraine with drones. Don’t ignore warnings! Stay in shelter”wrote the mayor of Lviv on Telegram, whose territory has been better protected than any other since 2022. Russia targets the country almost every day using drones or missiles. Energy infrastructure has been a major target, raising fears of a severe winter in Ukraine. Kyiv, for its part, regularly targets oil depots and refineries and other installations on the Russian side.
