The choice of the Kessler twins “was a very strong choice, but it did not surprise me at all. I am close to all my brothers, but having a twin and having lived in very close contact with him for 9 months, and moreover having shared my childhood completely with him, I can say that not only am I not judging, but there are no surprises on my part”. Speaking to Adnkronos was Loredana Lecciso, Raffaella’s twin sister, who commented on the deaths of twins Alice and Ellen Kessler. Discusses the benefits of the Kessler family’s choice to go together through assisted suicide. Lecciso observed: “I am a Christian and a Catholic, and I know that it is normal for every Christian to have doubts within themselves, but in this particular case I am not disappointed, because we do not know what is behind people’s lives, and we will never know. They have had a difficult life, I respect that a lot.”

It was a coincidence that fate saw the Lecciso twins perform in 2004 in the clumsy but enjoyable “Da-da-un-pa” which, after many years (in 2018 to be precise), they performed again right in front of the Kessler twins on “Domenica Live” meeting them on that occasion. “It was the only experience where we met and I have fond memories,” he said. “The end is bitter but sweet,” said Al Bano’s wife. However, he is wary of the idea of being able to make a similar decision together with his sister Raffaella: “The Kessler twins had a much stronger and more united experience than ours, they lived together and each of them was part of the other and the problems of one inevitably happened to the other, we then separated and each had his own life – he said – But in life I have learned not to exclude anything. This does not mean that I will make that decision, but in life you never know”.
