Tomorrow is the First Appeal of the Medical ‘Filter Semester’ – Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR)

The first application for the Medicine filter semester after the reform of access to the faculty is scheduled for tomorrow.

A second appeal is set for December 10. Registration was open from October 30 to November 15 and will be open from November 21 to December 6, for first and second appeals respectively.
Exam results will be published no later than December 3 for the first exam and no later than December 23 for the second exam.

At each session, all students can freely decide how many exams to take – one, two or all three – based on their preparation and availability.

Regardless of the number of tests chosen, all candidates must appear within the time specified by the University and remain in the room until the third test is completed, even if they choose to take only one test.

The three exams will involve the mandatory open semester subjects: Chemistry and preparation for biochemistry, Physics and Biology.

Each exam includes 31 multiple choice or solution questions, 45 minutes in duration and a predetermined test sequence (Chemistry and introductory biochemistry, Physics and Biology).
The minimum score to pass each test is 18/30. Scores will be awarded according to standard criteria: 1 point for each correct answer, 0 for each omitted answer, -0.1 for each incorrect answer, with a mark of thirty and rounding to the nearest whole number only if the minimum threshold is exceeded. Awards (+1 point) are expected.

Each student has the possibility to submit the marks obtained in the first session and improve his scores in the second session, for one or more exams. Withdrawals must be made within 48 hours after the exam results are published. The second test score – if positive – will apply to the university’s career goals and single national ranking for access to Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine courses.
