The ‘turning point’ raised by the government is just a substitute

Milan, 19 November (Adnkronos) – Made expo 2025, the most authoritative Italian event dedicated to the world of construction and architecture, scheduled at Fiera Milano from 19 to 22 November 2025, is preparing to redefine the boundaries of the sector, with an edition full of innovation, international protagonists, strategic alliances and content with very high added value. In a context that values vision and planning, Made expo 2025 is able to intercept and support the most dynamic market signals. According to the Economic Report 2025 forecast, outlined by Cresme, after a strong boost driven by incentives such as Superbonus, in 2025 investment in construction is expected to contract to its current value of 2.5%, after -3.3% last year. Performance resulting from redevelopment declines of 15% in 2024 and 16% in 2025, compared with public works growth of 15.6% in 2024 and 11% in 2025.

Organized by Made events, a company Fiera Milano and Federlegno Arredo Eventi, Made expo was created to respond to a real need: to offer a growing platform where innovation, sustainability and building culture merge into one vision. This event emphasizes that the exhibition layout is divided into two large areas: Salone Involucro and Salone Costruzioni. Four pavilions and 625 companies will grace the event, 23% of them foreign, representing 50 countries. Among the most represented markets are Germany, Spain, Romania, Poland and China.

In addition to major gains in the aluminum supply chain, Made Expo 2025 will see the debut of new companies leading the way in windows and exteriors, in innovative construction systems, and in high-performance materials for construction. A clear and strong signal: the market recognizes the event as an important reference point for vision, content and impact. Made expo attracts those who want to do math, and brings together those who really want to plan and build the future of the sector. To support the event, a collaboration was carried out with Ice-Agenzia which supports a structured buyer program aimed at encouraging the entry of the most important international operators. Thanks to this initiative, more than 150 buyers from 50 countries will be accommodated, with a special focus on Europe but also the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Tunisia.

More than just an exhibition, Made Expo is a collective intelligence that drives design culture and industrial strategy. With the support of key knowledge partners such as Milan Polytechnic and Cresme, the event establishes itself as a thought-provoking platform, capable of generating insights, evolution scenarios and operational tools for the entire supply chain. At Made Expo, technical knowledge and systemic vision, research and business also converge thanks to partnerships with the most prestigious trade associations such as Unicmi, Federparquet, Confartigianato, Confprofessioni, Conpaviper, Anit and Assorestauro. The collaboration framework was completed by the Eucentre Foundation, the College of Engineers and Architects of Milan, the Foundation of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of the Province of Milan, the Anci-National Association of Italian Cities, Ance Lombardia and the Italian Green Building Council.

Thanks to this synergy, Made expo 2025 dedicates a special focus to ‘building safety’, an important theme for the future of cities, through meetings, round tables and testimonials exploring seismic prevention, structural resilience and intelligent maintenance of built heritage. A concrete commitment to spreading a technical culture and social responsibility in designing and building safely. In this scenario, the new presence of Fel-Festival of light construction represents a very important added value by presenting the only national event vertically dedicated to the world of color in construction, professional hardware and construction warehouses. The joint presence of Made expo and Fel creates a synergistic ecosystem: on the one hand a large international platform for architecture, construction and innovation; on the other hand, vertical and specialized events, which meet the real needs of those who work on construction sites every day.

Made expo speaks to the world and does so with authority. In line with the principles of the New European Bauhaus (Neb), the European Commission-promoted movement for sustainable architecture that invites designers, architects, engineers and builders to rethink space in terms of sustainability, beauty and inclusivity, the 2025 edition will be strongly connected to key international themes. All Made Expo events will be united by Neb’s values: Sustainability, with meetings dedicated to innovative materials, building life cycles and new circular economy practices; Beauty, with a focus on design, living comfort and architectural quality, to underline the aesthetic and cultural value of architecture and Inclusivity, with reflections on accessibility, diversity and social cohesion, with the aim of imagining urban and living spaces capable of meeting the needs of everyone.

In this context and based on the same principles that inspired Neb, the first edition of the Made Sustainability Prize was born; a prestigious recognition and important scientific and cultural initiative, created thanks to collaboration with the Polytechnic of Milan, to reward exhibiting companies that stand out in the design and implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Made Expo’s schedule emphasizes itself as an open and dynamic dialogue platform, able to unite market and vision, tradition and future. The scheduled events will offer professionals not only the opportunity to renew, but also a cultural experience that elevates construction as a driver of social progress. All events will be structured around three main thematic areas – sustainability, inclusivity and beauty – and implemented in collaboration with publishing partners, foundations, associations and research centers. Among the most anticipated moments, a special event will be dedicated to the transformation of the Fiera Milano pavilion into an Olympic venue, a unique opportunity to explore how the exhibition space adapts to new functions related to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

Along with this theme, a more general space, the latest design and planning perspectives, with insights dedicated to architects and planners, in comparison of the aesthetic and functional trends that are redesigning the sector; Focus will also be given to new social scenarios related to senior housing, with reflections on housing issues for the aging population and design solutions that respond to inclusion and quality of life needs. There will be updates on the most relevant technological developments and moments dedicated to BIM (Building information modeling), an increasingly important tool for the innovation of construction processes and the digital management of the built environment.

The event dedicated to artificial intelligence deserves its own chapter. The inspiring talk ‘Ai architectural intelligence’, scheduled for November 20 at Fiera Milano, will feature innovation experts and the international community of architects and engineers. From drones to generative design, from predictive maintenance to supply chain implementation, to sustainability models, AI is revolutionizing the world of construction. The global AI market in construction is poised to take off, opening up new perspectives and also questions about the role of human creativity in a context where digital technologies are making rapid progress. This meeting will provide an overview of completed projects and the most extreme digital explorations, as well as answer important questions: How will AI rewrite the rules of design? What opportunities does it offer to improve the space in the future? What roles are left for the genius and creative designers, artists and architects? An unmissable event exploring the exciting intersection of technology and creativity, it will mark one of the most anticipated moments of Made expo 2025.

Another distinguishing element of the 2025 edition is the Miba-Milan international development alliance, an international platform that brings together four leading events in their respective fields in one ecosystem: the Gee-Global elevator exhibition, Made Expo, the smart building exhibition and Sicurezza. Thanks to this synergy, Miba presents a unique opportunity for professionals and companies to access a complete offering of technologies, materials and solutions capable of driving the ecological and digital transition in buildings and cities. Miba expands the scope of Made Expo, making it an integral part of a wider, innovative and international project, which combines a holistic vision and market concreteness.
