this is what could happen now

Copies of thousands of genetic traces collected during the investigation into the murder of Yara Gambirasio were withdrawn today by the defense of Massimo Bossetti, the bricklayer from Mapello who was definitively convicted of kidnapping and killing the thirteen year old child of Brembate Sopra on November 26, 2010.

Hard disk with DNA copy

This is a hard disk containing a copy of the DNA analysis collected to trace ‘Ignoto 1’, a profile found on Yara’s underwear, initially without a match and later discovered to belong to Bossetti himself, thus becoming key evidence against him.

What happened now

Electropherograms and graphs of genetic traces of thousands of DNAs, as well as photos taken by the Parma RIS carabinieri, can also be analyzed by the defense of Yara’s family, which requested them six years ago.

According to lawyer Claudio Salvagni, it will now take several months to fully analyze the data obtained.
