He killed her sister, then called the police and while waiting for their arrival, he made a video call to her mother to show the girl’s body torn apart by stab wounds. A terrible sight, the same sight the soldiers experienced when they arrived at the apartment. It happened in Nola, a city in the province of Naples, where 25-year-old Vincenzo Riccardi killed his 23-year-old sister, then told the Carabinieri that he was experiencing “insanity.”
The victim, Noemi, was hit several times all over her body with a kitchen knife. Based on what is known, the two boys were taken to a mental health center in Nola, the city where they had moved for some time. The 25-year-old man was then taken to the offices of the Carabinieri company, which is now carrying out an investigation to explain what happened, coordinated by the office of the local prosecutor, Antonella Vitagliano. From the information obtained, the young man will stab his sister 6 or 7 times, but to confirm the blows he inflicted we have to wait for the autopsy on the girl’s body. The weapon, which was still covered in blood, was found in the apartment where the two young men, both of whom were unemployed, lived with their mother. At the time of the argument, the woman was not at home, she was out working as a cleaner.
The children started fighting, as had happened several times in the past, neighbors told police. The frequent quarrels, always very lively, reassured the neighbors, but something today surpassed the previous episode: Vincenzo – according to the reconstruction made on the basis of the first investigation – took a knife in the kitchen and repeatedly hit his sister. Immediately afterwards he warned the police by telephone: “I killed my sister – he said – I stabbed her to death, come on, I can’t take it anymore”. Then, with the same cellphone, he made a video call to his mother to show Noemi’s lifeless body.
Police are now investigating to understand the reasons for the frequent altercations. Based on the first element collected, there had previously been no official complaints regarding the family situation, but only the testimony of neighbors. The act caused deep dismay in the town of Nola and dismay especially due to the young age of the two boys involved. In contrast to the incident that occurred at around 16.00 in Nola, a woman was strangled in bed by her husband in front of her children aged 4 and 6 years. Even on that occasion, one of the children used his cell phone to show his mother’s body to his aunt via video call. It happened on October 9 last year when 24-year-old Eleonor Toci was murdered in a house in San Felice a Cancello, in the Caserta area. Her husband Luzmil, 30 – both Albanian – was arrested by police and taken to prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere on charges of aggravated murder.
