The best column of the week was written by a certain Mr. Pistachio from Forocoches (Mihura in X) and is about decoration, so I will just divulge his teachings. It’s about the style of our time, the neo-Pakismwhich is defined by the reaction a Pakism of the transition and Francoism (gotelé walls, terrazzo floors, dark solid wood furniture, family photos, layout of the corridors). On the other hand, the floor neopaque of subsequent generations consists of the following elements: first, Ikea furniture —with special mention to Billy, Kallax, Malm and Bestå—; second, smooth walls without traces of gotelé; third, references to travel and pop culture, with Funko, video games, wooden elephants purchased in Thailand, and prints of Buddha and world maps; fourth, a huge television that occupies the center of the living room; fifth, an open-plan kitchen to create the illusion of an open space and sixth, offices for teleworking instead of children’s rooms.
