The wait is over. The third season of “A Professor” premieres today, Thursday November 20th. The series led by Alessandro Gassmann and Claudia Pandolfi (co-production Rai Fiction – Banijay Studios Italia) directed by Andrea Rebuzzi, with a cast that includes confirmed and new entries, Nicolas Maupas, Damiano Gavino, Nicole Grimaudo, Dario Aita, Pia Engleberth, Elisa Cocco, Luna Miriam Iansante, Davide Di Vetta, Margherita Aresti, Alice Lupparelli will take the audience back into the lives of the students and middle school teacher Da Vinci.
Maturity is upon us for the 5th B and there is no shortage of news, more or less welcome results, disappointments and dreams. For example, the protagonist, philosophy professor Dante (Gassmann), finds himself having to manage a complicated relationship with the new principal (Grimaudo), the ever-evolving relationship with Anita (Pandolfi), also a high school teacher of the year, the arrival of Leone, his former student, as the new physics teacher (Aita) and the return to his mother Virginia (Engleberth).
Alessandro Gassmann: “It is a great satisfaction for me to return to TV: from Thursday 20 November I will return to the role of Dante on Rai1. I am very happy, I feel stronger affection from the public. It is rare that I find a suitable role, and I hope to continue it for a long time. Now many consider me a real teacher. It often happens to me that people stop me on the street to ask my opinion about philosophy… I smile to myself! One of the most beautiful things about the series is, parents and children, they tell me that watching it triggers comparisons, it opens up conversations between generations. I believe it is necessary to introduce emotional and sexual education pathways in schools. It is important to help them understand what love really is and what it is not, freeing them from the aggressive and distorted vision that many assume because they have no other sources to learn.”
Claudia Pandolfi returns as Anita: “Anita is committed, she tests herself, she even starts teaching. She is a genuine and sincere woman, and I continue to love her. Of course, the relationship with her son Manuel (Damiano Gavino) is still a little problematic… even in this new season”.
Damiano Gavino: “My character will have many innovations. Manuel will grow rapidly, reach the right awareness for his age, even make rare decisions, and for this I really envy him. I have never had the lack of clarity to make choices so irrational as to change your life” and Nicolas Maupas: “Simone always had very clear ideas at school, but with maturity he would start to lose ground. I became very fond of him, although at first I had to fight very hard. Simone is now part of me, he is a character that I love and protect.”
