The first snowflakes fell on Thursday November 20 in several regions of France and around fifty departments are on yellow snow ice alert, according to Météo France. Asked by BFMTV, Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport, detailed the formation of the system “road management” involving 7,500 agents.
“We have to think about the smoothness of traffic, anticipate, prevent and inform”confirmed by the minister. “We are probably going to face a quite complicated weekend. (…) We have to anticipate it, through teams deployed 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, who are ready to trigger very effective actions”said Philippe Tabarot. According to him, the goal is to “securing people, vehicles and personnel” And “think about traffic flow”.
