“In the long term, there is no way out of this crisis without a health component, without a prevention component, without an education component, without a care component and even a change in the legal framework”assured at the French microphone Inter Amine Benyamina, professor of psychiatry and addictology, signatory of the article published in the newspaper Le Monde.

This forum is denouncing “absence of a coherent public health policy” to eradicate drug trafficking. This agreement was co-signed by public health specialist Bernard Basset. “Obviously, we feel like we are going up the river like a trout in the opposite direction. But the states that have implemented the legalization of marijuana or other products have experienced a more or less significant reduction in this delta, this violence”he assured.

“However, I believe that is not enough”stressed Amine Benyamina. According to her, “Real, big, ambitious, assuming and bold policies must work on two foundations: repression, law, order, health, risk prevention, and a legal framework capable of responding to the challenges we face today.”
