Genesis launches the Magma era: the GV60 opens the Korean brand’s high-performance phase

Genesis has chosen the Paul Ricard circuit to introduce the GV60 Magma, the first production model of the new high-performance line. This is an important step for the Korean brand, from the Byundai group, which aims to consolidate a premium identity focused on high performance and an approach that relies less on traditional codes of sportiness.

The Magma strategy is based on the concept of performance that is not associated with extreme strength or record numbers. The idea is a car capable of high performance yet accessible, with coherent and controlled behavior. This orientation takes the “Athletic Elegance” philosophy into more technical territory. Driving dynamics, power management and interaction between driver and car are the determining elements.

The GV60 Magma is the first real example of this approach and paves the way for future models in the range.

The design follows the logic of “undeclared power”. The standard version’s lower and wider bodywork, three front openings and aerodynamic fittings respond to both functional and aesthetic needs. Dark finishes, reduced chrome elements and a monochromatic palette depict a more technical language, away from visual excesses.

The profile features flared fenders and 21-inch forged alloy wheels with 275 mm tires. The miniskirt reflects the three-hole pattern at the front and contributes to aerodynamic flow. The rear spoiler generates downforce, while the diffuser is designed to improve outgoing air management.
