The FDP parliamentary group submitted a motion on the rule of law, integration and social abuses in connection with the debate on the cityscape in Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament fail. All other groups voted against.

The FDP parliamentary group, among other things, wants the state parliament to ask the state government to strengthen the police, prosecutor’s office and courts and increase the integration of immigrants. In addition, migration must be controlled more consistently and the state must ensure the positive development of public space in cities.

The background to the request is a statement by Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) in October. He made a connection between migration and problems in the urban landscape, sparking critical debate.
